Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Missn iOS and iPadOS application ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

Missn is a productivity application that lets you manage tasks, email, and calendar in one unified interface on iPhone and iPad. A companion Apple Watch app, home-screen widgets, and a Share Extension are included. A native macOS version is in development and not yet generally available.

The App connects to email and calendar providers of your choice, including Google Workspace / Gmail, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, Apple iCloud Mail, and any generic IMAP/SMTP server, via our processor Nylas Inc. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Subscriptions, Pricing & Auto-Renewal

Missn offers the following subscription tiers, sold as auto-renewable in-app purchases through the Apple App Store:

During the public beta, all paid features may be made available at no charge; this discretionary access does not modify these Terms.

Auto-renewal disclosure (required by Apple)

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the chosen package.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings on your device after purchase (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). No cancellation of the current subscription period is allowed during an active subscription period.

4.1 Free Trials & Introductory Offers

If Missn offers a free trial or introductory offer, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

4.2 Refunds

Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds directly for purchases made through the App Store.

4.3 EU Right of Withdrawal

If you reside in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU for digital content. By starting to use a paid feature immediately after purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses once performance has begun (§ 356(5) BGB).

The App relies on third-party services including, but not limited to, Apple Inc. (App Store, APNs, iCloud, EventKit, Apple Intelligence), Nylas Inc. (mailbox & calendar API), RevenueCat Inc. (subscription management), and, if you connect their accounts, Google LLC and Microsoft Corp. Your use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Jan Koch and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.

8. Your Data

You retain all rights to the email, calendar, contacts, and other content accessed or created through the App. We process this content solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant that the App is free of viruses or other harmful components. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for damages arising from or in connection with the App is limited to direct damages caused by gross negligence or intent. Liability for slight negligence shall only apply in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations and shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Mandatory statutory liability (in particular liability under the German Product Liability Act, for personal injury, or for fraudulently concealed defects) remains unaffected.

11. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it. Active subscriptions must additionally be cancelled through your Apple ID settings (see section 4). We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of third parties.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where practical, communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you act as a consumer with habitual residence in another EU Member State, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that Member State remain unaffected. The non-exclusive place of jurisdiction is Cologne, Germany, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Online Dispute Resolution (EU Consumers)

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
